We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Reliability Engineer. The site Reliability Engineer will be responsible for representing IT production within the development teams, building and deploying Digital Products, and maintaining the Infrastructure being used by the group. Facilitates conversation between DevOps Application Support, Site Reliability Engineers, Product and Cloud teams, and working with best practices, group compliance & protocols. Site Reliability Engineer will maintain adherence to critical processes such as Incident, Problem, and Change Management and work closely with the Service Management and Service Integration functions. He/she will also drive continuous improvement in collaboration with Adecco’s Managed Service Providers.
What you’ll be doing- Represent IT Production within the development teams i.e. participate on support design for an application, ensure cost effectivity and supportability of developed application.
- Builds & Manages CI/CD pipelines for deploying applications and infrastructure.
- Proactively identify and implement automation-first solutions using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with tools such as Terraform, and scripting using PowerShell and Bash, to minimize manual processes, thereby reducing operational toil and enhancing system reliability.
- Develop and maintain observability and monitoring solutions across the infrastructure to ensure high availability and proactive identification of issues. Utilize tools like Azure Monitor and Dynatrace, integrating OpenTelemetry for standardized and efficient data collection across diverse systems.
- Creates reliable/scalable solutions but with an eye to Capacity/Cost Management.
- Facilitate cross-functional communication between DevOps Application Support, Site Reliability Engineers, Product and Cloud teams, coordinating with Security and Network teams as necessary.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, driving effective solutions and conducting root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences. Focus on reducing the number of incidents and mean time to resolution (MTTR).
- Produces detailed technical documentation and contribute to team’s knowledge base.
- Provide rotational on-call support for cloud services, ensuring robust incident response protocols.
- Conduct capacity and demand planning of systems to ensure the future capabilities of the system are well understood and plans to scale, and quality are defined and delivered and drive down services unit cost to agreed targets under the guidance of the product manager.
- Service Creation in CMDB for new products.
- Proactively communicate with key stakeholders regarding the system availability status, scheduled maintenance windows and product performance.
- More than 2+ years designing and operating high-performance, secure, multi-tenant cloud services supporting a CI/CD model is a plus.
- 2+ yrs experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining Kubernetes infrastructure.
- Substantial Azure experience and ability to pass certification (AZ-400) within 6 months if not already certified is a plus.
- Demonstrated proficiency in automation utilizing Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform and scripting using tools such as Powershell, Bash.
- Experience with OO languages like Python,C++, C# as well as JS or similar scripting language is a plus.
- Experience with a variety of SQL and NoSQL databases is a plus.
- Availability to provide on-call support as part of a rotational system.
- At least a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Science, Technology or Math from an accredited university or equivalent work experience.
- Occasional traveling up to 20%.
