About the role

Serve as a business advisor and assistant to the Managing Director, manage the day-to-day branch operations, and assume Managing Director responsibilities in the Managing Director’s absence.

What you’ll be doing
  • Advise the Managing Director in organizational, operational, and other strategic decisions that impact the branch’s development, growth, and profitability.
  • Assist the Managing Director in tracking branch performance and identifying and resolving issues and problem areas.
  • Manage the day-to-day branch operations according to Modis/branch policies and procedures to help achieve branch development, growth, and profit goals.
  • Manage branch consultant resources. This includes hiring, training, coaching, motivating, reviewing performance, and (when necessary) terminating consultants.
  • Help develop solutions to and as necessary assist in resolving customer-related issues.
  • Assist the Managing Director in leading the day-to-day efforts of branch sales, recruiting, and administrative personnel.
  • With the approval of the Managing Director, assume the responsibilities and approval authority of the Managing Director in his/her absence.
  • Help identify sales opportunities.
  • Provide sales and bid support as needed.
  • Conduct weekly sales meetings in the Managing Director’s absence.
  • Track and report daily sales and recruiting activities to the Managing Director in his/her absence.
  • Interface with Modis corporate office as necessary.
  • Review and authorize payment of branch payables in the Managing Director’s absence.
  • Help identify sales opportunities.

About you

Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience highly recommended. 3+ years direct hire/staffing industry experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent verbal and written communications. 
  • Creative problem solving skills. 
  • Ability to delegate. 
  • Ability to function and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced team environment. 
  • Prior successful track record in management.
