About the role

As the Senior Sustainability Manager at The Adecco Group, you will be at the forefront of shaping the future of our global sustainability and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) agenda. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our organization not only meets but exceeds stakeholder expectations while complying with the ever-evolving landscape of sustainability requirements. You will be instrumental in leading initiatives that promote ethical leadership and inspire positive change.

As Senior Sustainability Manager, you will have the unique opportunity to lead and enhance sustainability programs that have a measurable impact on our global operations, with a focus on advancing our ESG fundamentals through data-driven strategies in close partnership with the non-financial reporting team. You will help build and implement targeted sustainability initiatives that drive both performance and social impact. Depending on geographical placement, you may also serve as the sustainability lead for the respective country.

You will have the chance to work closely with diverse teams across the globe, helping to embed sustainability into the very fabric of our business. You will help foster a culture of sustainability across the organization, strengthening capabilities within country-based sustainability teams, and driving best-practice sharing across regions. You will also play a critical part in supporting our global social impact goals and aligning Global Business Unit (GBU)-specific initiatives with our overarching sustainability objectives.

The Senior Sustainability Manager will report directly to the SVP Sustainability & ESG, working in close partnership with stakeholders at global, GBU, and country levels.

What you’ll be doing

  • Mentorship & Collaboration: Provide guidance and mentorship to global sustainability teams, empowering them to excel in their roles. Promote a culture of collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and best-practice scaling across regions.
  • Sustainability Reporting: Lead the preparation of the Group’s qualitative annual sustainability reporting. In collaboration with the non-financial reporting team, communications, and subject matter experts, ensure that the Group’s ESG narrative is cohesive and compelling.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a key sustainability business partner, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to address evolving sustainability challenges.
  • Deputize for the SVP Sustainability & ESG: Act as a deputy to the SVP Sustainability & ESG, stepping in to ensure continuity in the execution of sustainability strategies when necessary.

About you
  • Proven Experience: You have 7-10 years of experience managing complex, global projects. Significant experience in corporate sustainability, particularly within social impact domains, such as human rights and inclusion, is highly desirable.
  • Strategic Program Development: A track record of designing and delivering impactful, large-scale sustainability programs across regions or business units within multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Data-Driven Insight & Project Management: comfortable working with and interpreting data to shape and evolve sustainability programs, using insights to drive optimization and continuous improvement. You are highly organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional Communication & Stakeholder Engagement Skills: You excel at building relationships across all levels of the organization. You have the ability to influence stakeholders and collaborate effectively across departments and regions. Fluency in English is essential, and proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
  • Solutions-Oriented: You have the ability to balance sustainability goals with business objectives, finding pragmatic and results-driven solutions to complex challenges.
